WILT

WILT (What I Learned Today)

1.  Do not decide not to apply sunscreen to exposed knees when in a boat for five hours

2.  When traveling via ferry, leave even earlier than whatever time you think is way too early

3.  Despite complete packing checklist, I will forget at least one important item per trip. Latest trip: no coat; last trip: no computer power cord; previous trip: no hairbrush.
Travel is so much more interesting this way! Possibilities include (but are not limited to):

having access to important information while hair reflects constant state of extreme surprise

being sufficiently warm and nicely quaffed while unable to access document which entire trip is about

being overly warm while looking like stuck finger in socket

Folder Frenzy

I’m supposed to be organized. So where is the copy of the card I sent to my Guru? Why don’t I know? Aren’t I a professional organizer? Never mind reflecting on clinging to past action (card already mailed to Guru).

Good thing I like to laugh, because it’s frickin hilarious how I can whip anybody else’s stuff into awesome order with all the effort required for a yawn.

You’d think it would be in the folder labeled “Spiritual Stuff.”  I have one, but it’s not in there. I have one called “Cards” and it’s not in there either. Oh wait, it turns out it IS in Sprititual Stuff. Always look twice everywhere, it only takes twice as long after all. Perhaps a LIST of what’s in EACH folder - and where to keep THAT? Evernote! I love Evernote! Now that sucker is organized.

Diving In To Now

Poised and Ready: Making the Most of Every Moment

Abandon rushing! It is in essence throwing away happiness and peace. Am I "going" someplace or being someplace? THIS moment is the one to embrace!  whether I'm frustrated, bored, ate too much, or swimming in a heavenly mountain lake.

Unless you prefer being bored over swimming (which you may if you don't know how to swim), this moment DIVE into the mind-frame of the floating thing. Although now that I have written this, I may go to the lake, what a good idea!

However, I am not abandoning the moments in between this one and the dip. Rushing out of this moment in order to reach some 'ideal' one, no-no! Now is the time to open to great things.

"Try it, you'll like it!"

Split Personality

At The Bean, Millennium Square. Both of me. Natalie on the left, Shambhavi on the right.
